These ceramic creations by Maiden Name are great. The butter dish is R150 and the salt and pepper pyramids are R80 for a set and Mugs are R90 each. Bargain if you ask me. Check out more here.

Hola everyone. Its been a long time since my fingers did the typing on this WordPress blog. I feel as if I’m writing to a long-lost friend who I have not seen an ages yet have thought about everyday. Being a mom for the 1st time is an experience. I’m not overly busy or super stressed. It’s just a busy day-to-day routine with work included and by 8pm I am utterly exhausted and have had NO time for myself what so ever. Not that I’m complaining as being a mom is honestly one of the best things I have become. It has just meant that Creative Stream as well as reading my favourite blogs have taken a much saddened side-step for now.
How has the media world been everyone? Who’s who and whats the new trends? Its been ages since I read a blog never mind a decor magazine!!! They piling up in my inbox and my eye sweeps passed them on the shelves at stores as I carry my 5 month old and a lot of groceries while trying to remember what I might have forgotten so I don’t have to do the trip again anytime soon! It’s a change but a good one I will add.
I have not left this blog and will try my best to post as often as I can. I just needed to say hello again and let you know I have not disappeared for good. I miss it far too much. xxx

Thanks to my friend Danica, I came along this Pinterest page and started following. I then looked further into what this talented woman had to offer and found these women too. Meet The Crafting Chicks.

Their idea of how to creatively use shutters is awesome! I have always known of the idea and got some shutters myself…but have not been working on it since. Now I’m inspired and that’s why I love this social media world!!
Enjoy more of the ‘how to’ inspiration HERE.

Skilled textile workers get creative for their village. Not only do they work in textiles but they sew the most beautiful linen of which Woolworths offer in their stores and make african flavored bags, dolls and dresses to say the least. These women have come together to put their skills to work and have in turn created a business that sells products to boutiques and large retailers. This is an achievement and make me excited to see talented people working together and excelling in what they love doing.

How gorge are these metal interior items! Love the freshness made by the joining of these colors seen via Skona Hem from House Doctor.

This picture came my way when my friend Ned Lutyens put it as his bbm picture. I know Ned from London when I used to look after him and a few other awesome kids. Now Ned is a handsome lad, still excelling in sports and is one of many talents. As is his friend who painted Ned’s portrait and which I think is absolutely amazing!! Simply love it and admire this photograph taken of it. Thanks Ned and artist Ollie Wink.

You might remember my interview with Julie Smith-Belton? Well in this post I share with you how she captured the love between a couple I have started to get to know. Jo and Tim are photographed with their newest arrival Amy. She is too precious for words and these photographs reveal such love and grace. I had to share them with you as this is the season for love and grace. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Thank you Amy for sharing them with me and Julie for taking such amazing photographs.
